Mozzarella Sticks Found on Pinterest
I’ve been craving mozzarella sticks for months. That warm gooey cheese with marinara sauce is something I haven’t been able to replicate in a gluten free form.
When I saw this recipe on Pinterest I had to give it a try.
I dipped the string cheese in milk and then rolled them in gluten free bread crumbs I had made.
This is how they turned out.
They tasted great–I think, but it’s been so long I’m not a good judge.
I can’t say that pinterest failed me, but I’m not happy with the results.
I couldn’t get the bread crumbs to stick.
Can someone tell me a better way to do this?
Here’s my Marinara Recipe
2 small cans tomato sauce
1 14.5 oz. can Fire Roasted Diced tomatoes (I use Muir Glen with garlic)
1 tablespoon sea salt
1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
Put it all in a pan and let it simmer about 20 min.
