Ah, new curtains in the kitchen! I saw this fabric a few months ago at Jackman’s Fabircs and loved it. It was too expensive so I didn’t get it.
Right before I left for Denver it went on sale!
It’s a good think I bought extra because I cut the first piece too short! I think I had the ruler going the wrong way. Does that ever happen to you? The one I was using has a blank .5 inches on the bottom that isn’t included in the measurement. Why did they do it that way? If there is a way to mess up measuring I will discover it–every time.
So here’s the finished view. I even lined them. It’s raining here, very dismal so I thought the shot would come out okay. It didn’t so I had to play with the levels in photoshop. So the photo is a bit off in color.
I’m also trying to grow herbs for the winter. Not sure how that is going to work since the pine trees block most of the light. For now though they give the kitchen a nice aroma. Especially the mint plant which is on the floor in front of the French doors. They have new curtains too! A red that matches the red in the rooster print. I didn’t make them though, found them at Target!

Those curtains are so cute! I'm wondering how my herbs will survive indoors too, I'm afraid the cats will eat them!
Oh that's write you do like RED in the kitchen. I remember now. 🙂
Cute! I love red in the kitchen! And, yes, I always cut things wrong too! I hate that!
Thanks Kirsty. They add just a bit of fun to the kitchen.
The roosters look terrific.
